LTC As a Rider or Stand Alone Policy?

I have been in the life business several years but not in the LTC
business.
I see many life policies coming out now, term and others with
riders or just built in the base policy with LTC or CI benefits.

My question would be which has better benefits for the client?
I can ask the marketing people but some times they will give
you more BS than honest information.

I would take a guess that an individal policy in LTC or Critical Illness would have more or better benefits.
But when considering the cost that may price a lot of people out of the purchase of an individal policy.
That is why I am asking people that may have experience with this than I have.
Thanks,
Shooter

There are a slew of threads on this forum debating the pros and cons of linked benefit plans (MoneyGuard, TLC, etc) versus traditional LTCi. Suggest you scan around....as I for one do not want to retype it all again.

There is a place for both products....and it depends on the client involved. Most agent know the LTCi plan provides better benefits for the money....but not everyone wants to buy LTCi.
