why is everyone fixating on the $40 home health care aide benefit?

What about the $75 in-home care from an RN, LPN, or LVN?
RN - $75 per day for 360 days.

This lady is probably on a lot of meds so she will also get $250 towards meds. Her net annual cost on the base plan would be closer to $520.

Also, since she is already exhibiting issues with speech...I'd lay good odds that she'll use the Speech Pathology benefit.

Likely because it is all covered by Medicare if she is over 65...so what's the purpose? The Rx may be well covered with a good Part D plan....so it depends.

The fixation on the $40 for HHC is because this is a LTC forum, not a health insurance forum.
