What kind of volume are you doing that would justify above average commisisons?

Someone will give you a high contract. If you are independent, they need you more than you need them.

Sure they'll give out the contract, but if you want someone that'll give support and return phone calls with answers you should bring more to the table than "I want the highest contract possible". There are plenty of contract whores out there who will sign off on contracts for agents with no expectation that they'll do anything and gladly spend time talking to them when they're not likely to move any real volume, but I know I speak for myself and others when I say we don't need them.
