Main Street Power Mail?             Go to Top

Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum and have just started to view all the threads pertaining to the FE market and leads. I'm very appreciative to be part of this group and all the members insight and knowledge and hope to contribute some beneficial things as well.

My question is does anyone have any experience with Main Street Power Mail? Yes, I have tried the search function but it does not seem to be working at this time. Even so, fresh input would be greatly appreciated as to any experiences some of you might have had with them.

Thanks, Augustus

I use them. They are priced low. If you just use their standard mailers they seem to do a good job.

If you do something custom or more than just the standard lead cards, I don't recommend them. They make a LOT of mistakes.

I have no complaints. they are always friendly and willling to help any way they can. They also will not over saturate an area.

Like Newby said just use the standard mailer.

I have never used them but their name is fairly reputable from my understanding. Probably as safe as there is for Direct Mail.

That doesn't mean diddly. Just because one mail house doesn't mail over and over in a certain time span does not mean the same zip code isn't getting hammered every week by one or another mail house. There are dozens of lead mail houses that agents use so the chance of YOU mailing to a zip that hasn't seen a FE offering in a few weeks is pretty slim.

Still... it works sometime.

Here is a sample of a FE mailout I saw on their webite:

http://www.mspowermail.com/leads/rep.../Card%2039.jpg

Can any of you who do mailouts for FE tell me (us) if this looks like a good mailout? Would it get about the same response rate as any other mailer?

Your rate will drop off some when you send one they have to mark an amount on. People have no Idea what it cost and will not respond as much.

It's very distrubing to me that the word "insurance" is never used in that mailer.

I thank each of you for your responses! I'm sorry I have not responded earlier as I work a full time job at Home Depot in the stock department. I am trying to better myself through this niche (final expense) and try to invest what few dollars I have saved up in lead generation. Unfortunately or maybe it's my fault, I have recently tried autodialers and telemarketed leads to the tune of $700 dollars with very minimal success. I do feel blessed enough to gain 3 new clients out of that though with which to recapture my investment.

I realize I don't have the capital as some of you have, but am willing to possibly try direct mail with MSPM as that was the reason for my post. I don't have a clue what to expect, but surely someone that goes to the trouble to fill out a reply card should be better than some of these telemarketed or autodialer leads.

Heck, I don't know. I'm dog tired! Appreciate everything and wish everyone a Happy Easter!

Hmm...More than one mail house....Never thought of that.

If you have a small bank roll, then you might want to look into www.efesonline.com. You have to start out with smaller commission, but you can move up the totem pole. Monumental used to have a good lead program should be able to get 105%.

Happy Easter

I am well pleased with Main Street - there are cheaper companies out there - but I appreciate their customer service - prompt and efficient.

I also like their policy that allows you to lock in a zipcode for 60 days. I know you cannot do anything about other companies mailing in your zip - but I appreciate Main Street's loyalty to the agent.

Re: Main Street Power Mail?             Go to Top

I have had very good results with Main Street. They are always reliable on getting orders out and have good records as far as what kind of returns to expect in a given area based on past mailings.

On the downside, I believe they are charging over $400/k now for final expense leads, and they only mail you the actual leads periodically, where as they used to send them out to you daily.

You should be able to find some providers out there that will still mail around $350, and if your getting the same lead and the same service, you might as well go with whatever's cheaper.

The price of stamps is going up soon. I believe all companies will increase their prices soon, so if you going to do mailings, you need to hurry.

Hi everyone - I am also new to the business - still in business planning stages. I'm actually an ex-direct mail guy, but focused on shared / co-op type of mailings. Using a Main Street Power Mail program, what kind of response are you seeing? I'm trying to figure lead cost, etc. Also - have any of you tried shared (Marriage) mail lately? I did a bunch in the 80's-90's for agents, but that business dried up. I appreciate your insight.
