This captured my imagination. If affordable I will consider it as a marketing tool... but I'd be interested in your opinion(s) on how to use this vehicle. Perhaps some of you have tried it?
Take a look at some of the samples and see if you see any "out of the box" possibilities in marketing. I'll bet it is way beyond the budget of most small agencies, but since they don't list their costs, I can't be sure. If I can find the time I'm going to listen to their program next week and find out more.
* "Usual disclaimers" is internet-speak for a long laundry list of disclaimers saying that the poster has no financial connection to the product or service mentioned and does not benefit in any way should the reader use said product or service.
I believe the concept has a lot of merit. However, it may be too "slick" to use to sell insurance, especially individual insurance.
Using the same concept on a website with the agent explaining the benefits as opposed to an actor may be much better received and seem less like a "sales pitch".
There was a guy on here several months ago that was doing something like that. It was maybe a little too "conversational" but he did come across as both a "real" and trusting person.
Presenting the agent as someone the prospect trusts makes a huge difference in this business. A well done home video could prove invaluable in dramatically boosting sales when placed on an agent's website.

Preserve your memories. They're all that's left you.
Listen to the whole song in the video link to my site and maybe you will understand now. You will surely understand later when you are past 60... knowing there is more time and memories behind you than in front of you.
The quote from the song is my lame way of telling prospective clients to make memories and to take the necessary financial steps so that they will be preserved in a comfortable environment... as opposed to a dark, dingy nursing home where they serve cat food to those who can't afford a better venue.
Time it was, and what a time it was, it was
A time of innocence, a time of confidences
Long ago, it must be, I have a photograph

It's about 7 minutes long - this was done about 4 years ago, and the newer ones have been cut down to ~3 minutes to keep the client's attention, and have added some interesting new features (like the ability to find out who is watching your presentation and when). After watching the Impact Movie video, I can say I'm less than impressed with their Flash presentation skills. The programmers/flash writers from IMediaPro are very, very good at what they do. I don't know if that Impact Movie is only for the web or if it actually has a package, but the IMP products come in a very nice lexan (clear plastic) album with a message from you inside and on the back with your contact information. We've been an independent distributor for the company for a few months now and have had a great response, not to mention some of the huge cases that our own presentation has helped us get that we may otherwise have lost to another agent (including one with a six-figure commission last year).
