It isn't going to happen, but Barry and his sort are the perfect argument for going back to the idea of a republic not a democracy.
Not everyone should be able to vote. It is indeed a right and someone who determines my future should at least be required to prove they can read and write the English language before they can register.
And as far as any taxes on property owners go, only property owners should be allowed to determine what taxes they are forced to pay.
Acorn and the like should be outlawed. If someone is not motivated enough to go to the slight trouble of registering to vote, then they should not be voting. A person should never be able to register to vote by signing something an Acorn type employee sticks in front of their face. Nor should they be able to register by phone, by the Internet, or at a drive-in window. They need to go to a registration office where a human can look them in the eye and at least determine that they exist and have not already registered. Is that too much to ask? All democracies end the same basic way: votes get to the point they are meaningless.
