I thought so. They wrote (obviously) a lot of business in Indiana, but a fair amount in Ohio as well.
Here in Florida, there was no
PPO network, it was all "Usual & Customary".
MSI started unilaterally deciding what was "fair" when paying hospitals and other providers - and guess what - it was far less than the billed amount!
Hospitals and other providers started suing them back in '04 - and stopped taking assignment.
The client would have to pay up front, file a claim, and await whatever reimbursement MSI deemed "fair".
A real bad scene. Glad I was never tempted.
