It's funny, last night we met some friends from Canada passing through on a trip south. They were pulling a trailer behind the pickup and they tell us they usually park in 24 hour Walmart parking lots on their trips, and sleep there for the night.
So we met them at Walmart and took them out to supper.
The friend who was born and raised in Illinois, who moved to Canada as a young adult, is a devout socialist. As we were dropping them off after supper (I paid), and we were saying goodbye, my wife asked if they were sure it was OK to spend the night at Walmart - they could park at our house. They said sure, they do it all the time. I then said that I had heard that others did that, and that Walmart didn't mind. I then said to the friends that the folks at Walmart are good people and we love to shop at their stores.
I then listened to the rant about how evil Walmart was, moving into towns and taking the business away from the mom and pop stores.
All of these being said, of course, as he stood in front of his trailer which was parked for free in a Walmart parking lot.
