Michelle Obama Rumor Based On A Work Of FictionGo to Top
The rumor in question is one that's been circulating in recent weeks to the effect that there's video out there of Michelle Obama saying something derogatory about white people.
Not a single shred of evidence has surfaced to support this claim. Nobody has actually said they've personally seen it. It hasn't been posted to YouTube as you'd expect on something this juicy. Even Republican operatives say they don't believe it exists.
Now Jim Geraghty of National Review has claimedthat the rumor may be based on...fiction. A political thriller called The Power Broker, published in 2006 by Stephen Frey, features the presidential campaign of Dem candidate Jesse Wood, who's aspiring to be the country's first African-American president.
And sure enough, in the novel, Wood's opponents discover video of the candidate himself -- not his wife -- discussing with a radical black minister how he will "f--- whitey" when he gets into office, despite all his public rhetoric about racial reconciliation. Here's what he says on the fictional tape:
He said, "You know, I had to put up with so much crap from Whitey when I was playing tennis back in the day, it was ridiculous. Real b****** stuff, too. Tennis racquets busted while I was in the shower, no towels, the worst locker, called n***** all the time, even by the help." He looked over at Osgood. "I'm telling you, Clarence, if I get elected president, I'm gonna act the way I'm supposed to act in front of the camera. Smile and dance like a good black man, do what I'm expected to do like a good boy. But behind the scenes, I'll f*** Whitey, and I'll f*** him good, I really will."

Sometimes when I look at her, she strikes me as looking like a female version of Patrick Ewing.

Yup, that caution is fair enough and it is all probably bogus.
In fairness to folks who might be quick to buy into its existence, Obama hangs out with some real wacko's: Farrakin, Wright, Ayers the bombthrower, Pfleger the nutcase priest and so on. It's like accusing Bill Clinton of having an affair with a bimbo. There were a few alleged affairs there that were bogus. At the same time, Clinton lives the type of life that makes it likely to be true and that is his fault - not the publics.

I do believe that "rumors" are based on "fiction", otherwise, it's not a rumor, it's a fact. To date, I haven't heard a shred of evidence to support a fact.

You know Nate, I have alot of family who live right outside of Detroit... West Bloomfield is the name of the city.... the area is great, everyone is nice and respectful... but then we go into Deerborne (the arab capital of the US) to go shopping and have dinner and the people are totally ignorant, very liberal, and think they deserve something from this country because they are here. You've probably never been there because A.) Its very dangerous B.) Almost every sign is in Arabic C.) Everyone speaks Arabic but you honestly remind me of that mindset... the people walk around thinking this country owes them something, it amazes me....
I got news for you son, if your depending on this country for anything, you might as well give up now.... because it will let you down...
The answer has been and always will be LESS GOVERNMENT.
As for the Obama's if there is a video about them calling out names like whitey.... they have a past of racism... so.................. I wouldnt put it past them

Yes, I expect America to continue to be the land of opportunity. Government does have a role to play in economics and quality of life. Just look at life in Myanmar or North Korea as examples of poverty and suffering because of government failure.
This country has been very good to me -- partly because of a government which promotes a free market and also because of the attitude of many Americans who want to see people succeed because there is a general admiration of entrepreneurship in this country. I depend on my government to steward the economy in a way which promotes a good business environment.
100 more years in Iraq, and threatening military action against Iran is bad for business. A substantial portion of the increase in oil cost is a war premium. When will the last tanker load sail out of the Gulf? If McCain bombs Iran, as he likes to joke, it will only be a matter of time until the Gulf is mined an ship traffic stops.
You carry on about Arabs loving Obama. Good. Perhaps it will help facilitate peace. But I waste my breath trying to talk sense to you. You have set you mind and facts won't change it.

I love the new Avatar.... it has the right sense of tension and sends the right message of bubbling frustration and 'not-going-to-take-it-anymore' attitude.
