Anyone know what the base salary for Morgan Stanley is?

Is this # fixed or negotiable?

All the wirehouses are the same. Registered Rep. magazine does an annual survey, you might want to look into that. The base will depend on what you're worth (your connections), what you were earning at your prior job, etc. The branch manager generally has the ability to make the decision, it's kind of like he's got a pool of money to work with in operating the branch, and he's not looking to pay lots of moolah for training you if you don't have a plan to succeed.

Not certain of today, but in the past (more than 2 years ago) one of the 'rules' with Morgan Stanley was that in your first 2 years in production you were limited to selling MS mutual funds. Think about that for a minute.....
