NAIC Database Updates             Go to Top

I was approved for my state license on 1/2. I've been trying to apply for additional state licenses on sircon.com, but I get an error saying that they cannot find my license in the NAIC database. I imagine that updates are performed at specific intervals. Does anyone know how long this usually takes?

Thanks

Seems a bit premature to expect anyone to have updated the databases since absolutely NO workdays have occurred since 1/2/09. Give it a few days after the first of the week for something to happen. If by Wednesday of this coming week you are not in the system, post again and I know someone very well that runs the IT at Sircon, and I will ask.

Thanks Chuck. I'm just excited to get all my licenses ready for business!

They generally update around the 10th of the month. Like patch said with the holidays and all I may give a few more days.

Why?

Are there not enough people in your home state?
I carry a few out of state licenses but only because I had premade business in those states to cover it.

It gets very confusing remembering the various rules of each state, the differences in the products for the state, etc. When starting out, keep it simple, stay in your state, or if you have relatives in another state that want your help, limit to those.

Dan

(Just some friendly advice. You may have a good reason to have out of state licenses, but the key to success is focus. Multiple states tend to be a distraction).
