Need Help getting started.

I need help guys. I have been working at a broker shop for about a year now and have an ok production. I want to go solo, my broker shop doesn't really give me any value other then giving me 50% cut.
My only problem is my credit is pretty bad (no bankruptcies) and the fact I don't have my own E&O policy. Where do I start? Would it be possible to still get appointments?

Do i need to get my E and O first? Or should I wait to get appointed and get my E & O through the agency. From what I'm reading, it's cheaper that way?

You have to have a company (or sometimes agency) you're appointed with in order to get the E&O. Get appointed then get the E&O.

You're credit should be fine for several carriers, as long as you haven't had a bankruptcy as you mentioned.
