Thank God Al Gore invented the internet...the wealth of knowledge that it stores is mind boggling.
I am a financial advisor who has been life and health licensed in CA for 6 years. I went independent on that avenue, and started my own agency. I have a pretty sizable and loyal book of investment clients, (investments, life and health insurance) and would like to offer another dimension of service to them...mainly P & C.
I passed my broker's exam and now have that license as well. I would really like to start selling home and auto, but dont know how to go about doing that. I have gone to several small agencies in the area, but noone seems to be to willing to help me out.
The insurance companies obviously see me as a risk, and dont want to appoint an inexperienced newbie, but I have to start somewhere and I am not sure where to go. I think this is where I need to find an
MGA, but am not sure.
