New Final Expense Program W/ Competitive Comp and Lead SystemGo to Top
Greetings everyone,
A partner and I have had some success with Final Expense, so we have developed a sales and lead system for agents who are trying to break into this market. I thought I would beta-test this program and get some feedback from some fellow agents.
In a nutshell, we will offer two options. Option A will include a 105% contract with a lead system. Option B is for a 115% contract and access to discounted lead sources that you can purchase on your own.
Either way, all the companies we represent are A rated Carriers with competitive rates, SI or fully underwritten products and many can be sold in person or over the phone. Also, we will provide product training, underwriting assistance, ongoing support and proprietary marketing materials to get our agents up and running.
I know this all sounds a bit vague, but what I really want to know is what would be most important to you as an agent to consider getting into this market?
I would love to get your thoughts on this, so feel free to post or message me.

I would like to hear more, I am licensed in 13 states and would be very interested in selling FE by phone but im finding most agents are still running appointments face to face. Is there no one selling by phone doing large premuim? Is it not common?

We had a group of agents selling FE by phone, but they recently got out of it because the persistency was horrible. They had the majority of policies lapsing at around 90 days and had to hire a girl full-time just to try and chase down the no-pays and keep them on the books.
The agents we have who are still out running FE appointments are not only writing higher premiums (average 700 AV compared to 500 AV by phone) but keeping more business on the books.

I am interested in hearing more about your system. Either option. Send me a PM as I am new here and cannot send you one yet, nor do I wish to give out my email address to spammers lol!

Thus far I see that some like the idea and a few do not. This is certainly not for the newbie agent either, as it is best suited for more experienced agents who are already selling Life and/or FE, can learn the products quickly and hit the ground running. I don't mind assisting any agent in the beginning, but I will not be doing a lot of hand holding at these comp levels.
P.S. The most interesting conversation I had was with a guy who said he would gladly keep his 55% contract and pay $30 each for what he called "mostly crappy leads" than try something new. Just proves that you really can't sell soap to a pig...

If you provide me 105% and with lead, for example 15-20 leads per week, I would love to take it since you would go broke if you do that.
To my experience, the direct mail leads require 25% spread to recover the lead cost, assume that you get 1.2% return ratio and 20% closing ratio. I have ordered almost 30K mail drop without good success. I now work with telemarketing leads produced by my own call center which is cheaper than direct mail leads with good success.
