No Apointments, but Have Customers Ready to Buy?Go to Top
I have 3 families that want to buy health insurance from me and I have already sold them on exact plans from blue shield ca and aetna. I don't know what to do because I don't have appointments with either one of them yet. I already have my licensing and e&o so I can just submit a paper application and then they will set up my appointment at the same time?
Any info on the quickest way to get this done would be really appreciated. Thanks

Ya, I thought I had heard that before. I talked to the companies and they said it might take up to a week to get appointed and don't really have that much time.

As long as you are licensed, submit your contracting paperwork along with the initial application. I know Blue Shield won't contract before the initial application. Aetna I believe is the same.
You will get credit for the sale and be agent of record.

Yep, its almost a requirement to submit a piece of business with the appointment paperwork.
The only issue with this is it keeps the first app from being electronic, which in the case of Kaiser can mean the difference of being issued in 3 days vs 3 weeks.
