Not in my mind. A watermelon and the human brain are both 95% water. That 5% can make a real difference. Both Thomas Jefferson and Cynthia McKinney are/were 35 and U.S. born but I personally am concerned with more credentials than that when choosing between the two.
By the way, speaking of "hayseed farmers", Thomas Jefferson was first and foremost a farmer in his own mind. When Washington asked him to serve as Secretary of State he wrote back and said that his only wish in life was to be a farmer so he would serve until his farm at Monticello became profitable. We agree that we have too many lawyers and political hacks in DC but nevertheless a President should at least be able to demonstrate that they have done real work somewhere? Where would that be with President Obama?
