Re: Offering AARP/UHC/Secure Horizons ContractsGo to Top
I have just received an email containing the contracts for 2008.
All the Secure Horizons plans will be branded AARP. We will definitely be able to sell the AARP Medicare Supplement Plans along with their 50-64 health insurance.
By the way, for most states the commission for the Med Supp is $270 first year and $172 years 2-6 for 65+. I see nothing for underage.
If you'd like a copy of the new contract just send me a PM. I will be happy (of course) to have you sign up through me but if you're only curious as to the compensation, etc., that's fine also.

Rick,
Have you received any supplies yet? Summary of Benefits, etc?

All supplies are obtained direct from UHC. In California, I expect to use them for PDP and MAPD (HMO) only. Their PFFS is not particularly good but does have the AARP name. I have just ordered my own supplies today (since you reminded me I don't have any).
By the way, AARP is the sound a senior makes when getting up from a bean bag chair.

I understand that you get supplies directly from UHC. I'm just wondering if anyone has actually seen the summary of benefits for these plans (including the AARP branded plans).

Rick.... can you elaborate about their 50 - 64 health plans ?
I've never heard of this. Is it available in New York ?

Congratulations Rick. My MGA for AARP/UHC contract just went into effect for Florida. I'm offering $400 in Florida to start. Paid direct with a pre-nup. No ties. Also Aetna same deal.

The underage is indemnity.
Don't understand the "Congratulations Rick" part of the post but with a pre-nup to your agents, that's a good deal. You have the same contract as I have and apparently both of us offer GA contracts to others.

Congratulations Rabbi. GA with Aetna and UHC is $450. Many people (including Rick and I) offer a pre-nup, direct pay by carrier, but offer $450 per sale, you may want to reconsider your offer.

Rick
You don't think Congratulations is in order for attaining such a level? I'll take it back.

A note of caution regarding the 50-64 Indemnity plans: AARP will not allow non-resident agents to sell these products. I am a resident of Kansas, (plans n/a here) with non-resident license in MO (where they are available). Got certified thru UHC for the mini-med plans (Essential and Essential Plus), but when it came time to get the major med (Aetna's Essential Premier), they put the kabosh on everything. I mean EVERYTHING. I can't sell anything unless I can sell everything, according to their rules. Nobody knew this until April.... supposedly. Apparently Aetna had info UHC did not.
