I am currently considering becoming an Insurance Agent in the state of Ohio. I have come across many agent openings but am clueless about which type to pursue selling. I do not have a license so that narrows me down to places that train the individual in becoming an Agent. I have seen Allstate, Progressive, American Life, United American and a few other companies produce open results. Any suggestions of which insurance type and company produces many leads and preferably includes a base along with a rising number of customers switching to them?
Thats a tall order, wanting tons of leads a base and people flooding you.
Good luck, but generally this business does not work that way.
You posted two different license types - Health and P&C. I sell a lot of Individual Health in OH and it seems to be a good market. P&C is always a slower build and a more long term play. Maybe partner up with an existing agency and learn the ropes.
I was born in Cleveland and grew up in Euclid so I have a lot in common with the population.
Actually, I work at that office. And yes, you are right. There are some great minds there, although I'm not one of them. 700 employees.
The actual training, however, originates from many offices, not just that one. If you want to get into the Financial Planning aspect of the business, check some of the companies I mentioned earlier in the thread.
