Business Liability for Photo Studio

Among other hobbies, I'm an amateur photographer. I was going to do a shoot tomorrow evening but the studio is now stating their insurance policy requires all of their visitors carry a liability policy. Ignoring that I don't see where the liability is coming from, one would think an insurance carrier insuring a studio where hobbyists come to pay a couple of bucks to rent a studio for a few hours wouldn't expect the customers to have a liability policy.

If I bring a client to a restaurant, I don't have to have a liability policy for me and my client to provide to the restaurant, so why would this be so much different?

This is in the state of Virginia. If someone does this type of insurance I may have a good prospect for you, the situation just seems absurd.
