Part of garage liability is coverage is protection for an accident caused while they test drive vehicles, etc.

I can't see how knowing whose actually behind the wheel wouldn't be important?

auto body shop no license.

But im in the Midwest. I can see your point on knowing whos driving the vehicle and their driving record but not needed here

I write a lot of garage business. The standard carriers that I deal with (Travelers, Lib Mutual, Oregon Mutual and Allied) do not ask about driving record. The surplus lines companies, Western Heritage, etc. do ask.

I'm in Southern California. All the markets I have gone to for this risk have asked for drivers info. I know if I was an underwriter, I would want this info.
