How to Go About Finding a Job

Hello,

Will soon be taking my P&C exam. I have spoke to lots of people and I am going to be looking for a job. Most say I should get a job as a CSR to "learn the ropes". I have plenty of sales experience. I wouldnt mind doing that way if I could make enough to pay the bills while I learn. Where do you find these jobs? A headhunter? Or do you just go to agencies and drop off a resume? Large agency, small agency?
Also when I start out will I be expected to make phone calls out of a phone book or harrass relatives?

Getting hired once you are licensed is not hard, i would start at a small agency if possible, this may give you more time to learn the ropes.

In a small agency you will most likely work both sides, sales and customer service where in a large agency you might only do one or the other.
