Hurricane Season Plan

Just curious if any of my fellow indies in coastal states have a formal plan in place for Hurricanes? From preparation, to evacuate or not, to having a plan in place to start claims process with or without power. I start getting anxious around this time of year and always look for ways to improve our current plan.

Make a family emergency plan, which will ensure your family members know where to go, who to contact and how to stay in touch if family members become separated during an emergency event.
Stay informed. Know local evacuation routes, the location of nearby shelters, what to do before and during a flood and other basic safety tips. These can help keep people withstand the first few hours of a hurricane or any other emergency.
