hi,
I was looking at my homeowners insurance coverage c-personal property and i'm a little confused. it reads" our limit of liability for personal property is 10% of the limit of liability for coverage C or $1000, whichever is greater. My C coverage is $204,000. What does that mean exactly? Does that mean they insurance company will only pay up to $20,000?

thanks

Is it talking about other people's personal property or your own personal property.

Did you buy insurance through an agent or through a direct website?

If you have an agent you should really ask him for clarification. These kind of misunderstands will come back around and bite you when you have a claim and you THOUGHT you were covered for such and such.

Having an agent doesnt make the policy more expensive and its invaluable to someone who needs their questions answer.
