Lists or a Database, Which Do You Prefer?

Getting a consensus,

Would you A) Prefer working from multiple lists when calling leads or prospects?

Or B) Using Filters to pull data to pull leads or prospects from a single data base. (Leads are in 1 database, Prospects in another)

Scenario would be.
1) Have multiple lists you load into a dialer or call for Cold calling or internet leads.
or 2) Use certain filters to pull leads from the database.

Still a hard question tho - IMO there is no benefit of having them separated or stored in different databases. The only time people work of multiple lists for example excel CSV is because they have to.

what makes it a hard question is that I am assuming that you have it all localized with features that allow you to work that data. Can you set up campaigns and pull up all records in the database? Built in crm for call backs?
