Client has a house that is built on stilts because his property is in the marshy area of SC. It is there to comply with flood requirements and he says he has to pay FEMA like 600 bucks (I don't know what for though, to be honest.) He has flood insurance right now, too.

400-500k replacement cost house give or take, NEW (like 2-3 years old) that has no prior losses. Dwelling is a mix of vinyl/brick with a composition roof.

Safeco, Kemper, and ASI all won't take the risk. All of my carriers are opposed to open foundation/stilt/posts/pier despite everything being awesome.

Any thoughts on who to use? Monoline or package, it doesn't matter to me.

Thanks!

i might be wrong, but i think geovera will do stilts

I took a look at them online and they seem to only be on the west coast, unless you are referring to GeoVera Holdings? But they don't appear to use indy agents.

Perhaps I'm wrong?

I know I'm a little in responding but just for the future...GeoVera does write coastal property in SC. You can quote them through Appalachian and possibly Hull.
