Worst Company to Deal with on Claims

23 years in business. State Farm is the worst by far.

State Farm has their idiosyncrasies that can leave you with a bad taste in your mouth in just the right circumstance, but are no worse than any other middle of the road insured IME. I would not wish my worst enemy to be left dealing with Direct General or UAIC for a claim.

on appx my 5th claim with American family this year and each one is just horrible. several claim reps drag their feet forcing the insured to file their own claim and then have it subrogated just to try and get a 80/20 or 90/10 split.

I am here to help my insured but I shouldn't have to be this involved in a claim on a simple accident

^^ I was an agent with them for 22 years and had very few claims where I wasn't involved.

I remember one case in CO when they got in big trouble. They coined a phrase 'when pigs could fly', and had a silly pig they would send thru the room when someone wanted to get paid more. Of course, an isolated incident!

Pretty much all the captives AmFam, State Farm, farmers, Allstate ... they suck
