He's selling Local Ad Link, which is an mlm company that charges you $200 a month to put your business on the top of google in your local area. Of course you can go to google and do this yourself for free, but then you would miss out on the Kool-Aid. You can see my other postings on this by searching Local Ad Link.

That could have been my take out sushi container I forgot to throw away in my office waste basket over the weekend.

I do have to thank that company though. Had they not tried to sell me this I wouldn't have thought to do the local free google ad on my own. I have been getting anywhere from 3 to 17 hits on my site each day from it since I put it on. Even a couple phone calls. One which should turn into a sale. If it brings me a sale or two a month I'll be happy with it. It all adds up.

No wonder the lead companies are doing so well.
Not sure if you are still looking, but I just posted a response to a similar question on this forum. A large chunk of our leads stem from PPC and they're quite affordable (using Google, Yahoo & Bing.) We've hired the services out to web1marketing.com. Highly recommended and very smart crew.

Watch your budget on the PPC campaigns ad money can be eaten up quickly. I suggest daily limits on spending.

A few tips:

1. make your landing page very informative and have a contact form where the visitors can request a quote & wont need to search for a "contact us" page.

2. make sure you niche market. if you want to play with the big boys in insurance, you'd better come blazin with a bit more then a $600 budget -- try a $10000 budget. Get your niche terms no large entity is bidding on & go after those.

This is a very good point. We didn't think much about landing pages until it was brought to our attention how HUGE of a difference in converting visitors to leads it can have. We currently test two - three different landing pages for our PPC ads and conversion rates run upwards of 25% sometimes.

LTC...I notice you mention "we" in many of your posts. I thought (and I could be wrong) it was mainly you. And of course...any brokers you contract with.

Of course...I might be missing something here.

And...how about that O'Rielly-GE feud?
