That is extremely expensive; but maybe it is your location. Which company are you using?

I have to say that you're on the right track; prospeting the DNC is a thing that I thought I only did.........LOL Very interesting market, door knock when you can.

Okay, I will ask the question everybody wants to know. Why do you want to buy a do not call list? Are you going to mail to them or what?

I buy 1000 at a time; and spend about .06 a piece. I buy these so my new agents can practice door knocking. These people generally do no respond to insurance/financial offers as they feel they either have to much money, or are to healthy for insurance. Either way it is a good prospect.

Mark, I am glad that we could help. You can also have these sorted and these leads are a lot less expensive; as nobody else is working them. I remember the first time I called and ordered them and the sales lady laughed; she said that she did not even have a price sheet on them. Maybe an interesting idea to go with your door hangers idea.

Which list broker do you use for this rate?

I use an individual marketing firm here in Arkansas. They primarily deal with banks and loan officers. The owners are customers of mine; and they cut me a good deal. The name is Syntel,LLC; but they only deal with the state of Arkansas.

I have heard that sales genie will do the same thing, but have never checked them out.

I use sales genie. very happy with them. you pay a flat rate and can download as much as you want in the month.
William, What do your agents say at the door when the client answers, what are you selling life or health, and how effective is it? Thanks

The data company I use for data has the following prices....

100,000 records = .025 cents/record
50,000 records = .04 cents/record
25,000 records = .05 cents/record
10,000 records = .065 cents/record

All records include name, address, and phone and the accuracy is greater than 95%. You can also filter by age, location, race, and more.

Contact me and I'll give the info to the data company.

We were running out of lists for the telemarketer and decided to test the effectiveness of a mailing program. Who better to test? We'll see if the ROI sucks or not. We designed a kick ass auto insurance brochure so it should be interesting. Just got a better price on 7810 names and addresses with labels for $702 from Alesco Data. These are credit scored over 550, on DNC, ages 25-60

This price sounded reasonable

William, What do your agents say at the door when the client answers, what are you selling life or health, and how effective is it? Thanks

My office handles all lines. I specialize in the Large case Life design and annuities. I have found that this is very effective; and I say something like this.

Hello_______________ this is William Gay with Momentum Advisors here in Jonesboro; How are you?

The reason for my visit is that I noticed that you are on the DNC registrar, and I wanted to make you aware of my services.

This will start a conversation...............

And generally they will ask something like "what do you do?, what are you selling?"

I will answer them by saying:

"No, I am sorry; I do not sell anything, I will only offer you something if you need it; and obviously at this point I don't know if you need anything."

The purpose of the visit is to make yourself and your services known.

I generally end the conversation by saying something like this:

"I thank you for being so cordial with me; let me ask you this":

Do you currently have Life Insurance?
Do you currently have annuities?

Most times they will say yes and I am paying way too much.

Yes, and I am happy with it. I will respond by saying:

"Many people with whom I meet say the same thing; if you could get a better return on your annuity would that make you MORE happy?"

"If you could get the same amount of coverage for less would that make you MORE happy?"

If they say NO! you are dealing with a yo-yo; and move on.

Most times you will get a yes, and a chuckle; at which point I will say:

"I will be making some information available to you; which is better morning or afternoon? Well the next time I am over here I will make sure that I stop by."

"Have a great day."

It is clear to see that there is no script; this is a dialogue. You have to make your self human and show that you have a genuine sincerity. If you can do this you will be very successful.

No, I am not talking about 100K a year successful either.

Wait a minute, Bill, are you saying you call from the DNC list? Isn't that dangerous because one of those people could get pissed and drop a dime on you? As M&M (Paul) stated, "You figured he was going to call them?" Apparently the answer is yes.

Sorry, Bill. Mea culpa! It was your opening line that threw me. It sounded like a phone call, but on perusing your post again I see the second line indicates "The reason for my visit...." Not trying to criticize, but it sounded a little stiff and formal for an in person door knock. I would start out with "Good morning or afternoon (whichever is appropriate)."
Anyway, that's my style---but hey, different strokes for different folks. I don't think you or anyone else would want to do evening door knocking unless you are wearing body armor.

No problem there arnguy. No Fault, No foul........

I have found that the majority of people that I see on the DNC are more formal; so my intro at the door reflects that.

I would agree with you on evening door knocking. I did it when I was first getting started in the business; and had the police called on me on more than one occasion.......LOL

I have bullet proof suits from the Mens Wearhouse..........................
