Cross-reference with jewish surnames and birth announcements in local newspaper.

Better run, boy 'cause you can't hide!
Wow. You're really good at this search stuff. We were sure he was in Plano, TX. You should give up insurance and become a PI. How did you correlate "dannysdad" with Maryland and law!

You're good! Hey... remind me never to $#@! with you!!!!

And BTW, you guys know "Paradigm" and all the words he and I had? He called me today and we talked for over an hour. He's a fascinating, intelligent, successful, and open-minded (but still conservative) man.

When I f---k up about someone I do a huge job of it. I was TOTALLY WRONG about him. I eat my own dog food... when I'm wrong I'm wrong... and I admit it... I was WRONG! He is nothing like I thought he would be. Never in my wildest dreams would I have expected him to be the knowledgeable and educated gentleman that he is.

There is nothing about this biz he does not know and has not tried (sales-wise.) He'd be one hell of a mentor for anyone starting out (like John P. was for me.)

You know what this board needs? We need some conference calls so people can converse instead of argue.

His call made my day.

Many agents inadvertently dispense investment advice, just as many do tax advice. The key to whether it is investment advice and an enforceable FINRA violation or not is whether it is general or specific in character.

I do not believe Al did anything with malicious intent and he was just looking out for the best interests of his clients.

As an aside the rhetoric on this forum has been kicked up one notch too high. People are threatening each other with legal action, private investigators etc. This forum was not intended for that it was formed to allow a community of agents to converse, share best practices, and promote the industry. I think we need to remember that even though we may have political views that run counter to each other; after the election we will still be Americans and still be in the same industry. So we should promote our industry to deal with any changes that may come, help our clients and make an excellent living by providing the excellent service we all render.
Gotta say this is a post where I agree with you. What an anolomy.

There is a point where one can go too far with partisanship and that happens when we begin to call each other's patriotism into question. We are all Americans. Afterall its just chat and I would hope that most of us here are more concerned with selling insurance than political argument. Afterall this election will soon be over and we will still have to sell insurance and market financial services. I would like to hope we can discuss something new then.

Yeh, me too.

I think Al has a good idea there with the conference calls. The only thing that I worry about is that I am kind of a reserved guy from rural New England and when you teleconference with those guys in the San Francisco area, you never know whether they have their pants on when they are talking to you. See what I am saying.

You and Al need to lay off the pepperoni pizzas after 11:00 at night and it will change your outlook on life.

I don't really see the last couple of unpleasant days as someone doing his duty to make this a better insurance salesman world. More like someone got pissed way past whatever was necessary. A purely personal thing, IMHO.

I agree. I don't know what I wrote that pissed off this guy but he says he is out to ruin me by making a formal complaint to the DOI. What would the rest of you do? Just let him go ahead and win?

I don't know what Rick is posting as Sam set both of our accounts to "ignore" so that he can't see what I post nor can I see what he posts. I can only imagine that he is having the time of his life with all of this. But then again I could be wrong and maybe he is "defending" me against "dannysdad."

I'm sure I'm in for a long several months of statements, hearings and who knows what. Well as the old philosopher said "May you live in interesting times."

You made the implication that I was unethical. That was your mistake. Come to find out that YOU are the one who is unethical. You've lied about having 23 years more experience that you really have and you have illegally posted advice about securities on your website. How can I be out to ruin you when you are ALREADY RUINED? If you don't like the regulators being alerted about you, don't do anything alertworthy.

Sucks to be you.

As I say, what goes around... comes around. Patience is a virtue.

In ancient times there were great Taoist Sages.
Their way of living was so deep, so subtle, it cannot be directly explained.
Instead, here is how they looked:
Cautious, as if crossing the ford of a stream in Winter
Alert, as if surrounded by danger
Polite, as if they were always a guest
Yielding, like ice that is on the verge of melting
Sincere, like an uncut block of wood
Receptive, like a valley
Opaque, like muddy water

(Q)
Who can wait quietly for muddy water to slowly settle and become clear?
Who can continue to calmly live, and so experience nature's constant, slow growth?

(A)
People who follow the Tao do not desire excess to be full.
People who do not desire excess have unseen energy that constantly invigorates.

Military strategists have a saying:
"Rather than act like the lord of the manor,
I would rather behave like a guest.
Rather than advance an inch,
I would rather retreat a foot."

The point of the saying is that you should:
Advance upon them without going forward
Seize their property without even bearing arms.
Attack where there is no enemy.
Prevail upon them without weapons.

There is no greater disaster than to underestimate your enemy.
If I did that, I would lose my 3 treasures (benevolence, frugality, never trying to be number one)
In combat, the most reticent side will win.

Teo Te Ching

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep

A time to build up,a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones, a time to gather stones together

A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace, a time to refrain from embracing

A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time to love, a time to hate
A time for peace, I swear its not too late
