Insurance Forum Rules
Forum Rules
In order to proceed, you must agree with the following rules:

Welcome note

Welcome to the premier insurance forum on the internet.
This forum is intended to provide a place for insurance agents and those in related fields to communicate openly about marketing, products, commissions, share the good and the bad and to help each other become more successful. Please take a moment to read the forum rules.

Spammers. STOP Right Here !!!

Before registering, please make sure that you have something to contribute or to gain. Please do not join if you are simply looking to spam us. Your posts will be deleted right away and your account will be banned.

If you are joining to post an offer to agents or a link to some website or to try and sell something, or promoting a particular company, that is considered spam. You can see our policy spelled out more clearly here.

Additionally, any member promoting a company and not disclosing their affiliation with that company will be banned.

If some, all, or even one of your first posts violates this rule and requests that forum members contact you or look at a website etc.... you will be banned.

Be productive and share your knowledge

Please do use the forum to get started selling insurance, get better at selling insurance, share information on what has or hasn't worked for you in the past and help us grow the body of knowledge available on the forum.

Marketing

Marketing information is especially appreciated. There is already a wide body of knowledge on the forum, new and creative marketing information is

Advertising

If you would like to promote your products or services, there are two simple ways to do it. One is to advertise on the forum. If we deem your product or service helpful, we may entertain the possibility of advertising it for you. The other is simply to contribute. Place your links in your signature and post contributory and beneficial information. This is the easiest way to attract attention to your offerings.

Links in signature and posts

We allow all members to have links in their signature or in their posts and the search engines will give you credit for those links. Please do not abuse this or we will be forced to disable your signature and may even terminate your account.

New users are not allowed to have links in their signatures, while their post count is under 20. Once you are past 20 useful and informational posts, you may post a link in your signature. Note that the above number of 20 required posts may be subject to change without notice, as forum administration sees fit.

Users may also post links to other websites and resources within their posts. However, you are not allowed to post your affiliate, referral or any other type of links that is an incentive to gain personal profits from such a link.

Copyright

Please do not post entire articles from other sites. If you wish to draw attention to an article from another site, please provide a link and one or two sentences. Posting entire articles is almost always a copyright violation.

Be positive

Try to be positive. It is much easier to learn and extract or give value to the forum through positive interactions between members. We reserve the right to terminate anyone's account if they are providing nothing but negativity.

Search first

Use the search function. Many topics will have already been discussed many times. You should always search the forum first before starting new threads.

Posting policies

We maintain the right to delete posts and terminate accounts at will. In general we have a very liberal posting policy and rarely ban anyone for anything other than spam. However, the management has the final say and reserves this right.

It is against our terms of service for anyone to join the forum with multiple accounts. Failure to comply with this rule will absolve the forum from any responsibilities with regard to keeping user information private.

Off topic discussions

Political and religious discussion is allowed and we are generally very free about not censoring them. Please keep all such discussions in the appropriate areas of the forum.

Vulgar posts

We forbid all vulgarity. Curse words will be deleted and the violator will be subject to suspension. There are many colorful ways of expressing your thoughts without resorting to vulgarity.

Banning Policy

The Forum takes a fairly liberal policy on allowed posts and rarely bans members for anything other than spamming. Sharp political discourse, criticism of the forum administration, criticism of our sponsors and advertisers are all examples of things that are allowed and members will not be banned for.

However, the forum is a privately owned and operated website and we do reserve the right to ban members at any time for any reason, including the sending of private emails to forum administrators that are deemed to be disturbing, offensive, or contain threats of any kind.

Members can also be banned for personal attacks, including name calling, and casting aspersions on people personally. Bans are rarely permanent, except for repeated spammers.

As with any forum, there will always be some editorial decisions around what constitutes a personal attack etc... The forum administration reserves the sole right to make these determinations. However, anyone can report any post they deem offensive and it will be looked at by an administrator.

Additionally, anyone posting private information publicly identifying another forum member in any way shape or form will be subject to immediate banning at the discretion of the forum administration.
