You must really miss Herbert Hoover.

Funny Al should mention Herbert Hoover because the parallels are amazing.

Hoover did all the wrong things to combat the early Depression. He raised taxes and tariffs as well as penalized business.

Roosevelt came in promising he would correct the worst economic mess ever left an incoming president. FDR then promptly did more of the same things Hoover did, but on a massive scale. FDR blamed everything on Hoover, even though it was becoming clear that FDR's policies were compounding the problems. In 1932 the real Depression kicked in at about the same time the rest of the world was recovering. FDR gave us another 8 years of a really nasty depression while the media still talked about Hoovervilles and glossed over some pretty gross violations of the Constitution -like trying to pack the Supreme Court with new justices who would vote the FDR line.

Any of this sound at all familiar? If so, you can expect the real Depression (Crash2) to start in 2 years.

Didn't they try this deficit spending to reverse the economy in Asia a decade ago? Has this EVER worked?

Great Quote ...
