I am looking for a good FMO or MGA to contract with Aetna in Georgia. I am already contracted directly but looking for an advance. Anybody got any good companies other than Health Choice One, can't use them because of an affiliation with AHCP.

Thanks

Either regional or divisional president of some sort. All I know is I cannot have 2 contracts with 2 sub agency affiliated with AHCP.

You can try Insuranti, google them they are an fmo just like AHCP but they make there agents and Reginals send daily activity reports like you are captive. its nuts but they have advances and and you can review there contracts right on there website.

Given the issues Aetna has tracking and paying commissions, I would not want to be on an advance. No telling how much more money you could lose.

You know that is good advice Somarco, however I have not had the problems that others have. I knew up front that they take a while to pay out, so I did not expect anything else. It is just where I am at in my career an advance would help me tremendously.

I haven't had the same problems of others either, but then I didn't write that much with Aetna until a few months ago. I can tell you that in November I must have received half a dozen checks, "catching me up" on cases they had not paid me on before. At least one was something like 17 months of back premiums.

It's bad enough when you are as earned and can't get paid on a timely basis. Gotta be worse when you have advances. Imagine the GA's problem when they advance and then Aetna doesn't pay on that case for another 6 months.

If you get advances you may never get all you are due.

Just saying . . .

When I was contracted directly it took me at least three months to get paid (longest was 10), until I got contracted with Senior Market Sales. It was still a 30-45 day wait but that was much less than direct. You can also try Integrated Benefits, I think the FMO's get paid quicker and pass that on to the agent.

I am with Aetna through Insuranti. Aetna does not want to do advances. And I agree you would not want advances on Aetna.
Everything through Aetna is as earned.

But won't it depend on the agency? Some agencies pay you directly from the agency, and will pay your advance as soon as the policy is issued, correct? (I don't know if that made sense).

I did hear that there is an Company that negotiated 8-12 month advances on Aetna. But I also know that there is an agent with that company that has only recently started with them and is deeply in the hole for his Aetna deals. think its usa benefits group, I don't know anything about the company. You will have to search the threads and see if there are any postings
