If anyone was going to pursue legal action due to a post you're not as anon. as you think.

A friend of mine, Barry from KS, posted a lot of junk about Mega on the Yahoo board under an ID.

They got him, filed suit, snagged his computer under court order and dragged him in to court.

Yes, the name "Christianity" has been hijacked!! Instead of a way of life (which was original intent) it has become a LABEL.

I find is disingenusous to bring your religion into sales. I've been pitched this before by various salesman who invoke "God" or "the Lord" during the presentation or closing.

When dealing with clients keep religion and politics out of it.

I agree. If you have to use religion to build trust or rapport then that should send up a flag.

You do not know my religion. It is not important and the subject bores me.

Lesson learned is that if you have something bad to say about a carrier or any other outfit, be very creative about your wording.

HealthAgent:

Do tell; what happened to Barry in court...?

I would say one thing about the first Senior Direct policy that I run across... but let me check with my Lawyer first.

I wonder if they can spell H-I-S-T-0-R-Y...?

Actually Barry won't say other then it ended satisfactorily for him. I imagine they settled and he signed a non-disclosure statement.

That figures. It is not about what is right or wrong, it is about the lawyers intimidation... The legal equivilent of "mine is bigger than yours".

Re: Senior Direct USA             Go to Top

Some of the companies will indeed play dirty. Mega wrote the MD commissioner to have my license revoked do to "bashing" them on the boards which they said was an insurance violation.

The DOI reviewed my posts and didn't see it that way - especially since I had already sat with them and told them I'm gonna warn as many people as possible - the advice they gave me was just don't lie when posting.

The unfortunate truth is if you don't have the stomach for lawsuits and companies trying to get your license revoked don't post negative comments. If you do post negative comments watch how you phrase them.
