Aetna, national ad on tv, giving you $10.00 Target gift card just for calling for information on Medicare plans.

THIS IS RIDICULOUS. Medicare allows this?

It's a state by state issue. I'm not an agent anymore, but in MD I could give a free car to everyone at an event who filled out a quote request form.

It just cannot be contingent on the sale.

This is where actually paying attention to the AHIP and company certification tests would help you. You can give a gift card, just not a card that can be easily turned into cash.

Prepaid VISA cards are prohibited, not gift cards.

Sorry to sound so harsh, I just get real testy about insurance agents who are in to selling to seniors only between October and January. Not saying you are, just that this time of year brings on the explosion of agents who will disappear in January, only to resurface in September.
