Does anyone know if AARP(united Health) separates the disability med supp policy holders from the standard med supp risk pool? If they do not then couldnt this cause higher premium increases for all aarp med supp holders due to the higher claims of the policy holders who are specifically on medicare disability?

Any input would be appreciated...

I am not sure about the state that you live in, but here in FL, AARP does have a 0-64 category and it is extremely expensive. About 3x cost of its 65 age bracket.
This recently became available as it is law that all insurance companies that sell Med Supps in Florida must make it available to those on Medicare (0-64) because of a disability.

MOO also has one and it is about 2x its 65 age bracket for non-tobacco.

Hope this helps, although the response is a tad late...

Utilization of one plan does not increase the cost of all plans. This is evidenced by the fact that when a company has an increase not all plans necessarily receive the same percent of increase.

About three years ago Cont Life had an increase. Plan F went up 25% and Plan D only went up 9%

Increases are based on claims within an age group and plan.
