AARP

I'm not sure what the question is.

The Kaiser Family Foundation regularly publishes research reports and is considered a viable source of information for the industry. It really only shares the name with Kaiser Permanente.

The report is about cutting payments to physicians. Let's face it, it is just one more stupid piece of legislation put forth by a whole lotta stupid people.

And would you believe - HILLARY CLINTON IS NOT ON THE SENATE FINANCE COMMITTEE!!!!

So do you think she's paying John Kerry off to have him put it forth???? What's the deal?

AARP knows that the traditional Medicare way of paying claims isn't sustainable. They really had no other choice, but, to join. The massive migration towards MA's is pushing all of us away from a really great social benefit now called "Original Medicare". So, by design, little by little, the trend is towards managed care. HMO or PPO. The good news is at least there may be some Care Management.

PFFS will not survive a 10 - 15% cut. Neither will the doctors stand for a cut.

Good point about the deeming issue going away with managed care plans.
