CMS Changes Are Going to Lead to Commission Cuts for MAPD

If your hearing CMS might scrap the whole system in 2015 any idea on what the new system will look like or what they're leaning towards?

Did anyone here if Humana is paying this same way? I spoke to a manager here in Wisconsin but they said they did not hear anything about this. Is it UHC only so far?

I heard WellCare started doing it also. I was told that there was no notice from them but when commissions were issued for February 1st effective date they were reduced as per UHC schedule. Also heard the non profits (Blues/Excellus) are not following UHC lead at the moment. If you think about it with UHC the commission change allows the for profits to show better bottom line to their stock holders because they're not advancing anything. While the non profits would not care as much about that so we'll see.
