Direct Mail Leads W/out Contact Info

I was curious what others do for direct mail lead cards that come back without the prospect writing in their phone # or email. Does anyone have a strategy they've used to still get something going with the lead?

The agents that run leads have all given you the same advice. DK the lead.

I would also see if I could find a phone number for them before I DK'ed it.

I have mailed the card to the address with my business card and a note telling them they forgot to put their phone number on it.

But I would only do that before I threw it away. It's rare to get a call from them when you do that but I have gotten some. The ones that call are buyers though.

Give it to the teenager. (If you don't have one, borrow one). Tell them you need a phone number and/or email address. $5 for the info. Tell them if you get an appt, they get $20. If you close it, they get another $20.

I agree with the agents who say seek it out and knock on their door.

I look at it this way (example numbers):
1,000 mail drop @ $480
1.5% return rate = 15 leads
That equals $32 for that lead card you have in your hands.
