Direct Mail Opinion

I thought I might try direct mail to increase my Med Supp business. Right now, I am selling about 5 traditional policies a month, all referral leads (mainly from financial planners). I would like to increase that to 20/month by 1/1/15.

If you are (or are not) doing direct mail, can you tell me why? And if you are, what are you doing? A postcard with your contact info? A letter with a return envelope? And who do you think provides the best list?
