Thanks for the info. For now I am pursuing other carriers that seem to be more willing to take these risks. Did you send the letter to the specific underwriter that handled the case or an underwriting manager?

Your client may have told the uw that he wasn't sure what he was taking the meds for. I had one where Equitable made me get a doctors note for hydrocodone for that reason.

I would have loved that option (doc note) but the underwriter I was dealing with was inflexible.
