Guess Who's Changing Their Comp on GI Med Supp?

Only if the MA companies keep pulling out of counties. There is a lot of it this year and yes I can see them all having to go back to Medicare Supplements. I agree they are a ticking time bomb with all the GI business but most clients don't stay with a company more than 3 years anyway unless they have a crappy agent or are very unhealthy.

It looks like they're giving half comp on GI for apps signed 10/7 or later (at least in my appointed states; assume all). On Friday was about to mail a GI app out to an MA client exercising his trial right. Decided to pay a visit instead. Faxed it today, my last full comp GI.

10.5% on GI. The carrier I know of that still pays Full Commission on GI is Oxford Life.

is this still true? oxford is the only company paying full commission on GI?

No. I don't of any company paying full comp on GI business now. Except in a few states where it's prohibited to cut the comp.

Ohio is not one of those.

Even the info in this thread on Aetna is wrong. they pay 3/4 of 1% for GI now.

Except in those state where they can't do that.
