Sold my first Wellcare contract yesterday and heard this rumor. It's scary to say the least and makes me not want to sell it. Anyone else heard this rumor?

They have been mentioned as a take over for past 12 months.

I wouldn't worry a bit. Nothing is ever promised beyond the current plan year anyways.
I hadn't heard a rumor, I just assumed it was last year. There's a reason when you are significantly lower than everyone else. You want the numbers prior to the sale. Remember RX America? They sold the store one year to get everyone possible and the next year, they were bought by Caremark.
I wouldn't worry about it, though. They just change plans in 2016.
