Question on LIS award....I have a client that I applied for LIS, she makes $1309 a month and has $100 in assets, she was awarded LIS 100%.
I have another client that I applied for LIS, makes $1083 a month but has $8500 in assets, she was awarded only partial LIS even though her monthly is less than my other client.
Do you think that she was awarded only partial because of the amount of assets she has? I know the asset limit is $13,440 however, I was under the impression that if your assets were below this per individual then your award is based on your monthly income and didn't factor in the amount of your assets.
Just wondering if I should help her appeal.
