MA or MS? Age 63....

I believe there are also two MA only plans. A Humana PFFS plan ($66 monthly premium) and a Humana PPO plan ($0 monthly premium). Not that changes anything in this scenario.

I hadn't checked the MA-only plans, thanks.

With all of those health issues Rx coverage is absolutely needed and they would have be absolutely crazy to consider a PFFS plan with separate Part D.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I found out he witll T65 next year in December, so he is just about 14 months away from a plan G.

He is leaning towards medicare only and a PDP. Because the MAPD is so high. He goes to specialist once per month, and he happens to be out of network. Currently he pays $125 for an office visit to the specialist.

Would it be crazy to suggest the MA only plan, and pay out of pocket for prescriptions? Prescription co-pays would be $60/month. Of course then he'd have a pdp penalty when going onto pdp at age 65. (the MA only plan does have a part B reduction of $35)

Kind of a weird situation. I hate to see somebody not have any ceiling on the medical exposure.

T65 wipes the slate clean regarding the LEP. He gets a brand new do-over.

I refer all U-65 wanting a Plan A to Community Care . $165 ish a Month.

Yes, Community Care has a Plan A Medicare Supp. in OK.

Ask for Emma.

I was going to post the same thing but you beat me to it. It seems not many agents are aware of this fact.

I had a client who had Medicare from age 55 who just recently turned 65, and had no Part D, and had racked up over 100% penalty. He had already decided he would never enroll in Part D unless he were prescribed expensive drugs. When I told him about the "forgiveness" he was entitled to at age 65, he was mad as a hornet because his previous agent had never told him about that.

Welp. It looks like Mutual just lowered the rate on the Plan A supplements last week.

Gonna use them. Plan A $131, and Silverscript.

All that homework and ended up right where I started ha
