Medicare Advantage Regulations

I rec'd several section A violations this past AEP from CMS,

1) I spoke to a beneficiary before they spoke to me, and,
2) I made eye contact with a beneficiary before they spoke to me.
3) After imputing around 15 Rx's into Medicare Formulary Finder, I explained to my client that based on his Rx's, and, the pharmacy he uses, the best MedicareRx plan for him was XXXXXXX.
4) While working a Kiosk in WalMart I was bored. I got caught surfing the web for porn.

I can completely understand violations 1, 2 and 3... but NOT 4. Has CMS no dignity?

Serious question; what happens when you acquire a sectkion A violation from CMS...? Hang by your thumbs...? Oh, maybe by another appendage...?

I will be....Maybe I should consult HHS and CMS to make sure that is OK?

By the way, the shower did not help, I still feel like a DMV employee.

I remember this past AEP, during one company's face to face training, a girl just couldn't quite get past the idea that she thought it was legal to door knock. The trainer just kept saying, "no, it is not legal". She was so confused but failed to realize that this class and all the studying she was doing was only referring to MA plans.

I told her later it had NOTHING to do with Med Supps. You can door knock, cold call and all that other good stuff.
Then she said what if they don't want a med supp? :1confused:

So... cold call away and door knock til your hearts content, just lead with Med Supps and if they want to talk about MA plans, they brought it up and follow the MA guidelines from there?

I think you have a gambling problem:twitchy:. I know you have a fake hip so I'm sure golf is not the problem. Are you playing golf or gambling?

My hip cost a fortune. Won't start playing golf for another week or two - after some PT.

As far as Reno, meeting with a few agents but I suspect there will be time for gambling and perhaps a couple of drinks. And gambling is never a problem - only the losing.

But as far as the IRS is concerned, this is primarily a business trip.

Correct. You are not allowed to bring up MA plans. It almost always comes up though because people ask what is it with all these zero premium plans they see on tv and in the mail. You are allowed to explain how MA plans work but you can't go into plan details without a SOA and follow the guidelines
