Medicare Cuts Coming?

I'm just now beginning to get into the Med Supp market but still very active in the employee benefits side. I got an email today from an online magazine I subscribe to. I'm going to post the link as it talks about the "Medicare Scare". Pay close attention to the item that talks about doing away with first dollar coverage with medigap plans..

This isn't new news. They want to get rid of Plan F and Plan C. I was also told by 2 diffrent FMOs that the companies wil start to lower Medsupp Commissions. Not sure if that is really true or not just what I was told. I guess we are already seeing it with no Commission on GI plans...

Medicare Supplements & Obama

It was discussed on here about a month ago.

They want to slow down benefit utilization on plans like F and add a deductible/co-pays and eliminate first-dollar coverage.

No actually they are still paying. I got an Abe Lincoln for the last one I sold (yearly one time pay). Went to Starbucks with it and only had to pull another $2 out of my pocket to get my latte. Thanks Blue Cross!
