My wife is 59 yrs old. MY wife has been on disability since March of this year. She has Medicare A & B. She has just been diagnoed with multiple myeloma. I have read that she is not eligible for a medigap plan. Is this the rule in Tesas? Is my only choice for her an Advantage plan?

It depends on when her A & B started. If A & B started in march then she wouldn't be able to get a Medigap policy.

The medigap policies for under 65 are rather expensive anyway. Most companies only offer Plan A. There is one company apparently that offers Plan F, called Reserve Nation.

If she's never had a medicare advantage plan before, she could get an advantage plan, and if she doesn't like it (for any reason), she can disenroll and go back to original Medicare and get a Supplement, guaranteed issue, even though she has that diagnosis.

She can only do this once in her life, and it has to be the first time she's ever been on an advantage, plan.

first off.... you wont find plan f anywhere.... never in my life have i seen it for an under 65. they may say online they sell it but i also could be a porn star, but it aint happing.... i also thought/heard Uni. American sold plan f but like the boogie man i have never found it offered...

next, if she never had a med supp before does the MA give her GI rights backto a product she never had? I could be wrong since I have not been doing senior products that long....I thought she could only go back to original medicare....meaning not medigap plan with GI rights.... please correct me, im just a rookie

I have not sold Medicare products nor taken the class to do so. Since this is open enrollment, can my wife get an advantage plan or a Plan D even though she has cancer?
