Meanwhile, the EXACT SAME POLICY from a different insurer would run him a whopping $3,772 — ALMOST THREE TIMES AS MUCH!

What about my mom?

The most basic Medigap plan would run her $886 with one insurer and a usurious $3,044 with another ...
Identical middle-of-the-road plans I looked at varied as much as $2,531 depending on the issuer ...
And on the high end, my mom could pay $1,416 with one insurer and $3,368 with another!
Again, we’re talking about huge price differences for the exact same coverage.

And you’ll find the same thing no matter who you are or where you live:

For basic Medigap coverage in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, a 75-year-old woman could pay anywhere from $1,153 a year to $3,163 a year.
If the same woman was in Golden, Colorado she’d be looking at annual premiums ranging from $1,053 to $3,310 ...
And if she lived in Salisbury, Connecticut? She could pay anywhere from $1,497 to $6,495 — 334% MORE — for the exact same basic Medigap coverage!
Think about that for a minute: If you went to two Chevrolet car lots and looked at identical cars — with all the same options — would you expect one to be selling for $20,000 and another for $86,800?

No way!

If he is, he will spend his confinement at the bank depositing $99.00 checks.. With all that is going on in the healthcare arena, this strikes just the right tone of alarm and urgency. It also appeals to people's natural distrust of the insurance industry.. We should have thought of this first.. :err:
 
I recall a client of mine forwarding this to me last year, asking if he should sign up for the report from Weiss.
Wording was a bit different a year ago, but the same basic alarmist message.
Asked client why he would want to spend $99 for info that he could get for free from Medicare.gov and/or myself, plus who would do all his drug research for him year after year?

Case closed.

Who in their right mind would pay you $99 for that? IF you think that info isn't readily available without paying for it, you're just nuts! Furthermore, if you support what Nilus is talking about, you're even nuttier!

You might be getting over on the seniors with your ignorant letters that you send out, but you'll have a hard time playing with experienced agents. In other words, don't try to piss down our backs and tell us it's raining.
