PD Plan Deductable

When a MAPD plan has a $310 annual PD deductable, does the deductable have to be met even for tier one or two generics before the plan starts to pay?

Normally the deductible is for all drug tiers.

You have to check the summary of benefits or at least look up the particular plan on Medicare.gov to know if tiers 1 & 2 are excluded from the deductible.

It depends on the company and plan. I have several companies that exclude tier 1 and 2 from the deductible. Unless it specifies that in the SOB, assume everything goes to deductible.

9 times out of 10 when I look at sum of benefits on MAPD that has drug deductible it will say except for tier 1 & 2
sometimes only tier 4 and above are subject
but each plan can be different
