Ready to Ride Again.

Moved to northwest Louisiana 2 years ago and wouldn't you know it, got sick and have been idle since then. With dialysis now going well, I am able to get out in the field several days during the week and would like to get with a good FMO, marketing supplements and Advantage, if still viable. Any suggestions? Yes, still Louisiana licensed. Thanks.

I don't know you nor can I help but I am happy to read that dialysis is going well.
I pray it continues to go well for ya.

I've done mailings and used a telemarketer into Louisiana. It's more of which plans are competitive instead of which FMO to use.

However, I worked closely with Todd King and he's got a good "handle" of which plans will work there. Give him a call and if you'd like, I'll be happy to help as well.

Glad to hear that your health situation is becoming stable and you're feeling up to getting back to work! It'll be a rewarding feeling just getting back into the swing of things!

I'm sure there will be other offers of support, but if we can be of any assistance helping you find carriers and solid contracts, we'd be happy to help!

Thank you for the kind words!

I have posted this elsewhere, but here is my list of FMO's:

Senior Marketing Specialists - DISCLAIMER - I do training / marketing for them...so you get me for some training...that can be deemed as good or bad :)

Ritter Insurance Marketing

Word and Brown (you do have to assign commissions, but they are upfront about it and will release)

Todd King

Chris Westfall

Some other ones I have heard great things about (but I do not have any experience with):
Agent pipeline
Health Choice One

FMO's can be like cars - some may work for you, and not others. I have no use for a two seat car since I have kids, but that may be what you are looking for.

My advice - write down what you want your FMO to do for you (training, case placement assistance, back end office support, technology, etc) and then interview them. Talk to a handful then make a decision. Remember they are all trying to sell you on themselves, as they do not know who their next big producer will be. They in a sense will be your partner, so work with the one or two that you would want to partner with.

Hope this helps. Glad to hear you are getting better and getting back into the game!

I don't care how good an FMO is, I would not assign the commissions.

I know where you are coming from Newby, but they have some good stuff to offer and are very transparent about it. That is also why I always give a list to choose from, even though I do work for one.

You should do a little research on Health Choice One. See if you can find more than 1 agent that actually likes doing business with them!

I've heard too many horror stories and even experienced it myself.
